The UK is the norm for regulating vape
Will the British government continue to support vape after various “bans” have been implemented in other countries? In terms of dealing with vapes, Britain may be the most friendly country. Regardless of government departments, health agencies or medical experts, they are basically regarded as safe alternatives to traditional tobacco.
The British vape market has developed rapidly in recent years, and the number of vape users has increased rapidly, nearly half of the number of traditional smokers. Thanks to strict government and industry regulation of vape production quality and nicotine content, large-scale or serious illnesses related to vape have not yet occurred in the UK.

Even so, controversy about the harm of vape and concerns about the use of vape by minors have always existed in the UK. After the United States and other countries have recently implemented various "bans" on vape products, will the UK continue to maintain its recognition and support for vape?
As the world's third largest vape consumer market, the UK is one of the world's most supportive vape countries. In 2017, the UK Department of Health published a policy document "Towards a smokeless generation: the English Tobacco Control Plan", stating that the British government is pushing for a five-year plan for the "smokeless generation". The document clearly states that vape is an effective way to help smokers quit smoking, and the British government's support for this innovative way of quitting smoking is the key to achieving the "smokeless generation" strategy.
"More and more evidence shows that vape is far less harmful to health than smoking regular cigarettes. The government will continue to support consumers in quitting smoking and adopting less harmful nicotine products." The Ministry of Health wrote in a policy document.
In 2018, the United Kingdom began to allow the sale of vapes in hospitals, and provided patients with vape lounges to encourage patients with addiction to switch from traditional tobacco to vape, and eventually quit smoking.
The British government and the medical community are so supportive of vapes, mainly due to an independent review report by the Public Health Agency (PHE) of England, the executive body of the British Ministry of Health in 2015. The review concluded that vape is 95% safer than general tobacco for the health of users, and has helped tens of thousands of smokers quit smoking.
This data has since been widely publicized by the British government and health institutions such as the National Health Service (NHS), and has become a powerful tool for promoting vape to replace ordinary tobacco. Subsequently, the British government requested the Public Health Authority of England to update the safety review of vape every year by 2022, and to publish the review report every February. To date, the annual report has still "strengthened" the efficacy of vape as a good smoking cessation drug.
In addition to medical research proving that vape is safe, there have not been serious cases of vape in the UK in real life. Contrary to the current situation of American youth smoking vapes, the popularity of vapes among young non-smokers in the UK has not soared. Surveys of adult smokers in the UK also show that the vast majority of people use vape to quit traditional tobacco.
All of this shows that in the UK, vape still maintains the original intention and position of being invented-a tool to help adults quit flammable cigarettes. This has also become an important reason why the British authorities have always supported vape.
