Will vape be released in October?
According to the news on September 23, the domestic vape market is currently in a "three-none" state: there are no clear regulatory authorities, no special laws and regulations, no quality standards and barriers to entry. For many years, experts in the field of tobacco control and industry associations have called for the introduction of relevant laws and regulations, and this situation may have changed in the near future.
In October 2017, the national standard plan "vape" was established, and the project has now entered the final approval stage before its release. A staff member of the Tobacco Standardization Committee said that the standard has now been reported to the National Standardization Management Committee, and when it is approved and released will be decided by it, and the progress should be announced in the near future. A person involved in the drafting of the standard revealed that the standard regulates vape smoking equipment, e-liquid, and outer packaging. According to the project cycle, the vape national standard will be released in October this year.
A recently released report shows that in 2017, China's vape consumption reached 7.4 million, and it has become the world's largest producer of vape products (accounting for 95% of the global share) and exporters (accounting for 90% of the global share). Nowadays, the huge potential of the Chinese market has become the target of vape merchants at home and abroad. As of August this year, domestic vape market financing in 2019 has exceeded 1 billion yuan. With the promulgation of vape standards and the improvement of regulations, the industry may face reshuffle.
